The practice was founded by Andrew Scott, Chris Fairley and Julie Booth who had worked
together for the previous twelve years. We consistently deliver results for our clients and the

Intersect Architects Limited was established to provide a service to clients that they can rely on. The Directors all take an active project role, and the combination of their personal abilities and experience ensures that the client’s aims and objectives are delivered with uncomplicated ease and minimum effort.
Westlakes Consulting is a division of Westlakes Engineering Ltd, an independent civil and structural engineering consultancy providing specialist design services to clients in the property, infrastructure, energy and industry sectors from its offices in Manchester, Preston and Whitehaven. The practice is lead by Andy Hooper (MICE) and Chris Pratt (FIStructE) who first met designing commercial buildings in the Structures Division of Allott & Lomax in the late 1980’s.
Founded in 2004, the company has grown quickly and established a reputation for providing a high quality, professional service to its Clients.
Our Manchester team has worked in the higher education sector for many years and has held Framework Agreements at the Universities of Manchester, Bolton and Warwick. Most recently we have also been working at Lancaster University.
We have particular experience of the design of student accommodation.
